My name is Jake Buckingham — a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer, and designer based in Omaha, Nebraska. For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of directing, editing, and producing stories across documentaries, television specials, and independent film. I've been fortunate to collaborate with globally recognized brands and platforms including Oprah Winfrey (The Oprah Podcast), ABC News, ITV Studios, REELZ TV, Facebook, TEDx, The Salvation Army, and more.

Journey Light Visuals was built on a belief that has guided my work from the beginning: every story matters — and every story deserves to be told with intention. Over the years, I’ve learned that the most powerful storytelling doesn’t just inform — it connects, it resonates, and it stays with people. That belief is at the heart of everything we create.

We approach every project with a deep sense of responsibility and care. Our work is shaped by lived experience, cultural awareness, and a respect for stories rooted in identity, resilience, and belonging. Because for the organizations and individuals we serve, storytelling isn’t just about content — it’s about connection, trust, and impact.
